Dividing whole numbers by fractions
For my first post, I wanted to do a refresher on dividing whole numbers by fractions. I found a worksheet to complete at www.k5learning.com , and then I had to watch a tutorial to remind myself how to do it! Dividing by a fraction is the same as multiplying by its reciprocal. I was able to complete the worksheet, but I still wanted a more visual understanding of how it all works. I thought that the way this website explained it was really helpful - https://www.khanacademy.org/math/cc-sixth-grade-math/cc-6th-arithmetic-operations/cc-6th-dividing-fractions/v/whole-number-divided-by-a-fraction-example . I have never had it explained to me in that way. I attached the worksheet that I completed on dividing, which also required some converting of improper fractions to mixed numbers. This came back to me quicker than I thought it would!
